In ancient times, Jhang City was the original city and the existence of Jhang Sadr came into being much later.

Where Jhang City or Jhang City is now inhabited, many centuries ago there used to be a dense and vast "forest" where a settlement of gipsies consisting of a few small huts settled in the history of Jhangi and Jhang. Written by name.

Two miles east of the present city of Jhang was the fort of Brahmangarh. Today there is a diamond shrine on the same ruined fort.

In the history books, it is found that the first ancestor of the Sial family, Rai Sial
Hazrat Baba Farid-ud-Din Ganj Shakar had announced that his descendants would rule over Jhangi in the times to come.

Under this proclamation, a new city was founded which is listed in the pages of history as Jhang Sial. This is the year 1288.

Rai Sial was originally a descendant of the famous Rajput Raja Panwar of Jaunpur, India. His name before accepting Islam
Rai Shankar was the son of Bajdiv.

Rai Shankar rebelled during the reign of Ghias-ud-Din Balban, but due to his "failure", he took refuge in the service of Baba Farid-ud-Din Ganj Shukar and converted to Islam.
Hazrat Baba Farid-ud-Din Ganj Shukar changed his name from Rai Shankar to Rai Sial

and got her married to Sohag, daughter of Sardar Bahau Khan Mekan of his disciple Amwani.

McCann gave his daughter a dowry on the banks of the river Jhelum.

After the marriage, Rai Sial stayed for some time in Kotli Baqir Shah, which is still known by this name in Tehsil Athar Hazari.

After moving from Kotli Baqir Shah, he settled a settlement called Sialkot near Shorkot which is still present in Shorkot under the name of "Mouza Sialkot".

It is said that Baba Farid-ud-Din used to go to Behera, Khushab, Chiniot, Sahiwal and Shahpur every year or two to meet his disciples.

Rai Sial Since he was your Moadab Murid, he would welcome you from his area Sialkot. Once he heard the news of your arrival and reached the forest of Jhangi and received the Murshid.

He was happy to see his disciple and gave him the good news that "Rai Sial will be your descendant (ruler of this area). Settle this area."

After this good news, Rai Sial took up residence in the forest of Jhangi and established a new city.

This city was named "Jhang Sial" which is today known as "Jhang City" or "Jhang City".

Rai Sial had three sons named:

1: BHARMI  2: Kohli3: MAHNI

Historians write that the amount of land that Rai Sial got from his father-in-law was insufficient for his descendants, so he sought permission from the Amwani chief to allow his descendants to cultivate the area agriculturally. That area should be given to them.

Taking advantage of this concession, the descendants of Rai Sial settled many new settlements towards Thal, of which even today in the area of Thal.

Tibba Bharmi, Kot Mahni, Qila Kohli
 There are settlements named after.

In these areas, the descendants of Rai Sial made great progress and almost ruled over agriculture.

Rai Sial's family grew and according to historian Bilal Zubair, nineteen chiefs of the Sial family, from Mil Khan Rais I (September 17, 1462-1503) to Raees Ahmad Khan (1812-1822) ruled Jhang Sial.

Note:

Jhang Maghiana and Jhang city have their own separate history.

May God bless my city #Jhang on the path of development !! Amen
