The deputy head of the Al-Najba Islamic Resistance Movement said the US embassy in Baghdad was not a diplomatic base but a military base.

Nasr al-Shammari said that the resistance movement has no fear of the United States and the American aggressors and their agents in the region cannot interfere in the determination of the resistance movement.

The leader of the Iraqi president's group has also announced that the Iraqi people and government will continue to push for the withdrawal of US troops from the country, away from outside interference under the auspices of the Marjah.

At the same time, Muqtada al-Sadr has called on the country's armed groups to use diplomatic means to drive foreign troops out of Iraq. The head of the group added that in the current situation, foreign troops want to undermine Iraq's sovereignty and peace and stability, and in order to prevent this, we need to work together on an aggressive military presence and military action by the US embassy. Parliamentary and international avenues must be found to end the chain.

Earlier, Iraqi President Brahm Saleh reported that Donald Trump had threatened to close the US embassy in Baghdad due to repeated attacks on US embassies, diplomatic missions, and military convoys.

Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo claimed that the closure of the US embassy in Baghdad would have negative consequences for Iraq and its future.

It should be noted that the Iraqi people and political and non-political parties and organizations want the expulsion of American terrorists from Iraq and the Iraqi parliament has also passed a bill in this regard.
