LEVELS OF CELLULAR ORGANIZATION Quiz
BIOLOGY CLASS 9TH CH 1 TEXTBOOK MCQs LEVELS OF CELLULAR ORGANIZATION Quiz
A sample of pure matter contains the same type of atoms that have the same atomic number and can not be broken down into simpler units by any biological or chemical means called an element. The elements which are found in living organisms are called bio elements. There are almost 119 elements of which 92 are naturally occurring and 16 are called Bioelements. Ten elements out of 16 constitute 1 % of the human body and 6 are called major elements because they constitute 99% of the human body.
MOLECULAR-LEVELAtoms do not exist independently in nature. so they combined with each other through ionic or covalent bonding. A stable particle formed by the chemical combination of two or more two atoms except for noble gases, the molecules which are found in living organisms are known as Bio elements. Bioelements are classified further on the basis of molecular weight. they may be macromolecules and macromolecules.
Here the question arises that how can we recognise which element is macromolecule and macromolecule as well. because we can not calculate easily the molecular weight of all biomolecules. so, it is easy to recognise which molecule is macro or micro.
Macromolecules. are those which can be hydrolysed into simple units or monomers like carbohydrate, lipids, DNA and Protein
Micromolecules: are those molecules that can be hydrolysed further into simple units, like ATP, Glucose, Fructose etc because these can not be further hydrolysed into simple units
